On 26 January, coinciding with the International Day of Environmental Education, the ECO-SCHOOL programme was presented to the entire school community.
ECO-SCHOOL is the sustainability programme at school level with the widest global reach. It starts in the classroom and extends to the whole community, through action-based learning.
With the whole school gathered in the playground, the students who are members of the ECO COMMITTEE presented the great challenge that this programme represents: to achieve in three years that our school develops a process of environmental improvement and thus obtain the GREEN FLAG that will certify us as a school that works for a fairer and more sustainable world.
So far, the pupils have already got down to work and have been telling stories to the little ones to raise awareness of the importance of sustainability and have created games for the children to raise awareness of the importance of caring for the environment. The youngest pupils had a great time playing and enjoying themselves? And they learned a lot! The most important thing: it is up to all of us to take care of our planet earth.
The adventure has only just begun, so we need all of you to make it happen!
