XXV SPRING MATHEMATICS CONTEST

On April 23rd the final phase of the math competition was held at the Faculty of Mathematics of the Complutense University of Madrid.

Six of our students from different courses (1st ESO – 1st Bac) competed against more than 2000 students from all over Madrid. They completed a test for an hour and a half that consisted of  25 questions of problems and mathematical logic.

Our student Iván G., is among the top 50 finalists, and here he tells us how his experience was:

I have been thinking about the good moments that this contest has given me, and I have not fallen short. The fact that I passed the first exam already surprised me, so you can’t imagine my face when, lying on the sofa, they told me that I had passed to the next and last phase. It was a very special and unique experience that I would not mind repeating. It has helped me to see mathematics as something more fun and dynamic. I want to thank the organizers for making it possible for children and teenagers to have a great time and discover new sides of the same coin, mathematics.

We are very proud of all the students who participated, for facing new challenges and goals; and, of course, of Iván, who did a great job and manages to improve himself everyday. Congratulations to all of them!
