Discover how the past determines our present at Arqueopinto

On October 3rd our 4th grade students had the opportunity to go on a field trip to Arqueopinto. Undoubtedly, it has meant a before and after in our first unit of inquiry “The discoveries of the past determine the way of life of human beings”.

They all had the opportunity to travel back to Prehistory to understand firsthand how our ancestors evolved during the Paleolithic, Neolithic and Metal Age. They achieved this by creating a cave painting, designing weapons of the time, cooking with the help of the first ovens, entering huts of the time… Quite an adventure!

This learning experience coincided with the motivational activity of the inquiry unit, so that from that moment on, we can start our inquiry cycle discovering and inquiring new knowledge.

Undoubtedly, this activity has had a great impact on our students’ learning. All of them realized the great influence of the discoveries of our past in order to have today all the necessary resources to live.
