Aid to the Syrian People
“Human actions have an impact on equal opportunities”. This is the central idea around which the second unit of inquiry of the sixth grade students has revolved, which is part of their IB programme.
We opened the unit by introducing the organisation that helps the Syrian people, which briefly gave us a background to their origin and how they work to ensure that a country in conflict does not fail to provide an education for children so that they have the option of a tomorrow with equal opportunities.
From Internacional Aravaca, our students have taken action and collected blankets and school supplies to be sent to them in the next truck that the organisation will load to leave next January. Our students have not only collaborated with great enthusiasm and have helped in the collection of material at the entrance of the school, organising and classifying the material received and have shown responsibility and caring.
