VERDIART, WORKSHOP “FOLLOW OUR TRAIL”.

Today our Verdiart students had a very special morning!

They have all taken part in an introductory tracking workshop to become more aware of the natural world around us.

To do this, we have had the help of a naturalist who has informed us about the main animals that we can find in the nearest forests.

In teams, our students divided up to find out more information about the animals they were assigned: otter, wolf, lynx, squirrel, hedgehog, fox, rabbit, badger and wild boar. They have had to explain to the rest of their classmates what they eat, how they move, where they can be found…

The naturalist then explained the importance of knowing how to recognise animal tracks in order to be able to track them. With the help of real footprints, he showed them some samples so that they could handle them.

With this brief introduction, our pupils became real footprint detectives to play a tracking game in our school gardens. It was a great experience, they loved it!

Finally, they finished the workshop by creating a footprint each one of them, with the creativity that characterises them so much, they have managed to create a great result!

CONGRATULATIONS TRACKERS, YOU HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB!
