THIS BALL HAS TO BE SMALL

After doing an outstanding job in the summit, the primary students have started with their new project This Ball Has To Be Small. The objective of this activity is to reduce the overall amount of trash in the school. They do this by gathering trash found in the yellow container once by day. Then, students place one bag inside the other making a ball out of the collected waste. When Friday comes, Monica helps them measure out how much garbage they produced. This way, the students will acknowledge and reflect on their actions to progressively decrease the amount of garbage.

Meanwhile, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders are taking home what they learn in school. Their Families are being encouraged to take on challenges to reduce their plastic consumption. For instance, trying to avoid using plastic bags, buying yogurt in glass containers instead of plastic, choosing a bigger bottle of milk that uses less package, and other daily practices that can turn into eco-friendly habits.
