At IA we are fortunate to have fantastic sports facilities and our students can therefore learn a wide variety of sports.
This time, as part of the IB Primary School Programme (PYP), our 4th year Primary students have been learning and practising several sports, such as Jumping, Javelin Throwing, Athletics…
Knowing the rules and technique of each one is extremely important because, behind each modality, there are specific issues to take into account that could disqualify and therefore not count for a score. The practice of technique and the study of theory is the key to achieving our goals. Moreover, if you add to that how much fun all the students have by learning such different sports, it makes the combination no better.
The Olympics is where these sports are played, so if our students continue to do so well, we may see them there in a few years. Go for it!
