In Baccalaureate, we talk about liquidity, investment… And we took part in the CAM Economics Olympiads!

Professor Eduardo Blanco from the Universidad Francisco Marroquín, came to the school to talk to us about the importance of liquidity, the role of money in the global economy, as well as investment options. He talked to us about gold and cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin. The students had a great time and learned a lot about finance and economics, how it works, and the new forms of investment that have appeared such as Bitcoin. It is essential to give them this knowledge about the world we live in before they “go out into the world” at university.

On the other hand, 4 students of 2nd Bach participated in the XIII Olimpiada de Economía de la Comunidad de Madrid. For two and a half hours, in the Faculty of Economics of the Complutense University, they were able to demonstrate everything they had learned in 1st and 2nd Bachillerato. An appetizer of what they will be asked in the EVAU. The exam was a combination of theory and practice. They even had to comment on an article about inflation and the energy crisis. But with all the work we did in class on newspaper articles and investments, it was no problem for them!
