WELCOME FROM THE ESO COORDINATORS
As Coordinators of the Secondary Education stage but on behalf of the whole teaching body, we are approaching this coming academic year with commitment and enthusiasm.
We are aware that the current circumstances require us to be more professional and adaptable and to offer our students even more support wherever possible.
It is the students who spur us on to give one hundred percent and to always opt for the best learning models.
Our stage includes the “Mavericks” Project, where we support students through their teenage years and help them to deal with the difficulties and challenges of this phase of life.
From an academic point of view, they consolidate their study, effort and improvement habits, preparing them to adapt these into later studies.
We understand how to work with students’ motivation, emotion and curiosity.
They are the ones who accept the challenge of learning and work co-operatively to find solutions and answers.
We help them build awareness of the importance of their participation in society so that they can make positive changes.
“Mavericks” prepares and strengthens the skills they need for their future, in emotional and academic terms.
The implementation of the International Programme Secondary Stage (MYP – Middle Years Programme), commits us to constantly improving our teaching and student learning above all else, helping them to develop their personal understanding, self-perception and responsibility within the community.
The MYP builds on the knowledge, skills and attitudes developed in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and prepares students to meet the academic challenges of the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in the Baccalaureate stage.
The goal of all of the above is to reach excellence in education,, so that each student is able to attain what they set out to do, with no limitations.
Every single school department, tutor, coordinator and staff member will make the utmost effort, involvement and improvement each day in order to achieve this.
Thank you for believing in us.
With our best wishes for the academic year.
