History of Madrid

During 2ndESO our students study the Middle Ages in depth in the subject of Individuals and Societies. Therefore, in their training as citizens, the aim of this activity is for them to learn about the origins of their city, to get to know and enjoy its history by experiencing and discovering the places where important historical events took place.

The itinerary begins with the places of the 9th century, the founding of the city, and goes up to the 16th century enclaves with the arrival of Philip II and the Renaissance.

In this activity our students walk and walk through the streets of Madrid and at the same time learn the reason for the names of its streets or the most important historical events.
