Year 3 have read the famous novel “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton. During the reading they have felt very identified with the story, which narrates the conflict between two rival gangs divided by their socioeconomic status, and they have been surprised to discover that these problems have been going on forever.
To cap off the reading and to demonstrate not only what they had learned about rivalry, belonging and identity, but also their creativity and ability to transfer knowledge from other subjects, they were asked to create their own book trailers for “The Outsiders”.
The result was outstanding and captivating pieces, which strikingly portray their continued development of some essential approaches to learning, such as communication, social and thinking skills.
