Pre-School Stage
School is not just concepts; it is people, moments, glances, conversations, laughters, morning recess or pool time. We want Internacional Aravaca to be part and parcel of your family, to be those you remember fondly when you look back at, where those experiences you feel proud of and the first efforts that shape the foundations of your future, took place.
This is why we have implemented our own methodology, adapted to the needs and growth of the younger ones.
We take a chance on language and everything it takes as the road to progress, because it builds worlds, creates relationships, forges one’s own personality, accepts compromises and, above all, is the road to the future. We pay special attention to the development of our students’ physical, psychic and linguistic skills. We make our students daily life a road to perfect English.
Bilingualism
-
Our language programmes, both in English and Spanish, always include three major blocks: oral expression, reading and writing, and in all three of them we include activities based on the multiple intelligences.
A pedagogical and effective way to stimulate our students to use the English language and to respond to their curiosity, interests and concerns is through our Project-Based Methodology. The teaching team carefully selects the topics from a significant perspective, taking into account the different intelligences and the advantages of working cooperatively in the classroom.
Both the artistic language (such as Art and Music education) and the technological one (with the use of computers and iPads) complement the aforementioned.
-
That is why our Maths program, presented to our students in a different, real and fun way, plays an active part in our students’ English first experiences. Thanks to the multiple intelligences, each child has the possibility to overcome different mathematical challenges, such as problem solving, according to their capabilities and maturity processes.
-
Connoisseurs of the brain’s plasticity in the Pre-School stage, we daily develop the Early Stimulation program based on Glenn Doman’s method, with the aim that our children will eventually reach physical and cognitive excellence.
Our commitment is very clear; for all our students who have fulfilled their education at our school to be able to express themselves fluently in English in any real-life situation and to obtain, to the extent of their possibilities, the maximum certificate granted by the University of Cambridge, the Proficiency exam.
Since the age of two, when students first join the school, we work on their English language acquaintance intensely. A language immersion environment welcomes them, as the open and globalized society in which we live in has turned the plurilingual competence into a key element within our student’s education.

to know more
Every person has different intelligences, some being more developed than others. To know this heterogeneity, to know that not everyone learns in the same way or at the same pace, is essential to a quality education. By accepting these differences, you can teach each student on the basis of their potential, enabling the optimal development of their capabilities.

IA Family

IA Family is a program formed by our students families, which we integrate and involve 100 percent at this important school stage. Thus, they become active participants and players in all our school activities, educational programs and events. Their participation, as well as their opinions and points of view, are the biggest asset we possess to keep growing larger. Through IA Family we form a growing community: the Internacional Aravaca School.
