Webinar aboutCyber-Addiction Prevention

New technologies and devices have greatly improved our quality of life and the way we see the world. They have opened up a million possibilities and alternatives that did not even exist a few years ago, they have made our lives easier and have even become essential tools in our students’ learning.

However, like everything else, it is a question of using these devices responsibly. Getting the most out of them without becoming totally dependent on these technological tools.

Screen addiction already affects 20% of young people, and dependence on mobile phones has consequences for the sociability and future of our students, in fact, vamping (the distortion of rest due to technology) is already one of the main reasons for failure and dropping out of school.

Over-exposure to screens impacts academic performance, the cognitive maturation process, the ability to concentrate and the development of fine motor skills.

Families need new tools to manage these new challenges and at the school we are aware of the difficulties (in terms of knowledge and techniques) that many of you have in taking control of screens at home.

For all these reasons, we have organised a webinar about the prevention of cyber-addiction, for the 3rd of February 2021 from 18:30 to 20h, where you will learn how to:

  • Up to 30 tools and strategies to avoid screen addiction.
  • Manage to define limits of time of use and defend them.
  • Protect your children from inappropriate and harmful content.
  • Tools against cyberbullying.

The seminar, run by @cibersalusables, is complemented by access to an on-line course with step-by-step instructions on all the tools against cyber-addiction.

We look forward to seeing you, your children’s future will thank you for it!
