A piece of Madrid at school

The students of 1st ESO have been able to enjoy a very nice project thanks to the collaboration between two of their subjects: mathematics and EPVA (arts), through the framework of an interdisciplinary planner of the MYP of the International Baccalaureate.

The aim of this activity was to design a portion of a city made up of unique buildings in Madrid represented at different scales depending on their size. As if they were architects and engineers. With this project they have learnt to calculate and represent elements to scale and volumes, based on their subject of geometry from an analytical, logical and graphic perspective respectively.

The result could not have been better, we have been able to represent some “little pieces” of Madrid in the school hall itself.
Congratulations future architects!
