Democratic Rule Management for children
Democratic rule management for children is a way of teaching children, in a simple and fun way, how to decide together on rules that help them live together better. It is about listening to everyone’s ideas, talking about what is fair and making sure that everyone understands and respects the rules because they made them together.
In each class, we have talked in assembly about what we like about the school and what we don’t like as well as what we would like to change. After this talk, they made a drawing to work on it more independently. Together we decided on a rule that we had to sign and commit ourselves to comply with for a better atmosphere in our class. The rule for each class is posted on the class wall so the children can remember it.
