On Friday 17th February 1st EPO students had a very interesting and fun trip to Micropolis. In this small city they were able to find all the services and resources that a city needs and they put into practice everything they learnt in their third unit of enquiry. For one day they could become firemen, policemen, TV presenters or even go to driving school.
Being able to face everyday situations in a city adapted to the youngest children was something that excited them and helped them to consolidate much of what they had learnt in the enquiry unit. Experiencing situations that occur in all cities from a play perspective was motivating and got all the pupils involved in each of the situations. They learned rules of coexistence, social values or even how to manage economic resources.
It was a celebration of their learning!
