Within the unit dedicated to human nutrition, MYP 4 students (3rdESO) experimentally tested the presence of proteins and starch in different foods.
They used lugol and Biuret’s reagent, noted the color changes that occurred on egg and bread samples, and wrote their practical report. Laboratory work helps develop students’ research skills and fosters scientific motivation.
