1º and 2º Secondary join Primary’s Coexistence Program – House Competition
House Competition is one of the most important elements within the Primary stage’s coexistence program, where, much like in Harry Potter, each student belongs to a specific house (blue, green, yellow, or red). The goal of this program is for students to get to know one another, work together as a team to achieve a common objective, and, at the same time, have fun.
For the 2024-2025 school year, we have decided that the House Competition program will continue into Secondary School, as it significantly contributes to improving the relationships between students and fosters a strong sense of belonging within the school community. Secondary School will gradually be introduced to the program, which is why this year the 1st and 2nd year ESO students have joined. By the 2026-2027 school year, when these students reach 4th year ESO, they will have fully established the program across all grades in Secondary School.
As part of this important program, on Tuesday, September 27th, the 1st and 2nd year ESO students participated in the grand House Competition Opening Ceremony alongside the entire Primary stage. It was a truly emotional moment, as the 1st grade students and all new students in each year group were assigned to their new houses. Following the solemn ceremony, they participated in a grand gymkhana. The 2nd year ESO students showed great solidarity and empathy by pairing up with the 1st grade students to help them in the gymkhana challenges, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed and was a great success. In the end, it was the red house that earned the most points and claimed the coveted reward: the privilege of wearing casual clothes on Friday, October 4th.
We are all eagerly awaiting the next big event in the House Competition program: Halloween!
